Very glad to be back online and able to communicate with you guys. On the 22nd of January of this year I had a stroke. Spent five weeks in the hospital and then was able to go home. Very good to be able to catch up on what's been happening while I have some down time. Hoping to head back to work soon depending upon getting my driver's license back. My jeeps have been sidelined while I recover. But for Giggles I have something to pass on that happened while I was in the hospital. The doctor said it may be a while before I am able to work on vehicles again. I told him I own two FSJ and that not happening. Might slow me down a bit maybe. The look I got is worth a thousand words. I am about to start on the J10 stepside soon and may have a ton of questions so bear with me as this project goes. Thanx in avdance.

Happy you're back. As far as health, don't ignore it. I have to pace myself now due to back issues. If I get too focused on projects, my back will sideline me for at least a week.

Yah , very lucky!! Stroke hit my left side. I am right handed. My writing same as before and no speech problems or memory issues. My left leg still weak and left arm and hand in same shape. Nice thing was work helped me out finatually and are holding my position for me. Figure doing bodywork on J10 will get me over the weakness and then the mechanical will work on the strenght. Not all is doom and gloom. Still on the good side of the grass. May wind up with an awesome J10 out of the deal, LOL.

Sorry to hear about your stroke, good to hear you are on the road to recovery.
Not sure if working on an FSJ is the best medicine could cause you to relapse from frustration!
I’m sorry to hear about your stroke. I’m sure you will be turning wrenches very soon. I’m looking forward to seeing you getting back 100 percent. You will be in my thoughts.
Holy smokes, glad you are back online with us and recovering! Working on our FSJs is a form of therapy too, plus it is good for the soul and heart. Wishing you complete recovery and much luck on your J10 project.

So for an update. Finding the body still very weak, too weak to do the heavy stuff to be done on the J10 so going to fall back to working onthe Cherokee. Working with doing body work, slapping on the fiberglass bondo then sanding it down is a workout, can feel the strenght coming back little by little. Who would have figured a FSJ could double physo-therapast,LOL.

Working on the Cherokee is producing awsume results. A week ago could not activate pop top on bevy cans, not now. Left arm getting strenght back also. Feeling tremenous about inprovements. Using a mouse , circular or 1/4 sheet sander. Having to hold the weight of sander with left hand and try to push it against body is a very good work out as well as working on fine control issues. Dang Jeep is helping me recover.
Post pictures in a bit.

Not sure if anybody noticed, filled the seam between the flare and body. Tell you what, if somebody calls these a brick or shoe box going to hand them body tool and make them work, lots of body lines to worry about. Hey, devildog80 , your helper got any family up north, could put them to work. Got a whole bunch of fine sanding that needs doing
