I want to give credit where credit is due- I am merely porting over the design to a '86 dash- here is the Genesis- http://www.fsjnetwork.com/forum/viewtop ... 11&t=12920Tim75 wrote:I really like the idea of this build for a nice cruising vehicle. A little bad news on that front- from Dakota Digital- "Unfortunately your Cummins setup using J1939 protocol is a bit outside our wheelhouse. Our OBD-II/CAN interface is only suitable for J1850 protocol systems. That being said, our instrument systems can certainly be hardwired “standalone” and made to work in nearly any application."Tim75 wrote:What I'm very curious of is if dakota digital will be able to incorporate your request to display the J1939 CAN through the dash and eliminate the need of mounting another dash display. I hope you are able to accomplish that goal! I'm a fan of keeping these rigs as close to stock as posible and i think your idea follows those lines.
