Early 65 V8 rig, plain jane except for the powertrain : no "custom cab" option , no chromed bumper or grille
Five digits serial number beginning by "5"
Interior ?

In case you have time to post some more photos, I'd also like to see the interior, especially the floor treatment if it still has the factory mat/rubberized floor material.
That 7k rating has it sitting 1/2 way in between my lifted 66 and my son’s stock ride height 62.mud89 wrote:Thanks for the plate, early one, 70th with the 7000lbs GVW, speedo has been replaced
By the way, i recently bought some old ones too : a wagoneer and a gladiator
Haha, yeah, the early versions. The wiring harness for them is in tact, that is pretty uncommon in the early rigs.twisted frame wrote:You obtained another set of those transfer case indicator lights! That's choice.
I wonder if that windshield was replaced? I'm amazed it's not delaminated around the edges - or - do you think the manufacturing processes could have changed over the years and maybe Jeep got a bunch of sub-par windshields in the 70s? Both 70s FSJs I've had have had hazy/delaminated windshields while the two different 82s I had, had beautiful ones - but I couldn't be sure those were never replaced.66stepside wrote:
There is some delamination along the outer edges almost all the way around, though it is very minor compared to most I’ve seen.twisted frame wrote:I wonder if that windshield was replaced? Your truck is from the 60s. I once got a real nice windshield out of a 60s Wag, but I don't know if it was original. Can you tell if the one in your green truck has an aftermarket name etched into it?
The combo sold to a guy who wanted the crank, and a few other internals, as well has the bellhousing/adapters, so I no longer have it.mud89 wrote:Do you have the engine number on the alternator bracket (small alu plate) ?
