Not yet, all the stuff I pulled off the front when I did saginaw has been "creeping"
In the back of the wagoneer, I cleaned it all out to convert my storage area into a cargo area.
I don't know what I'm gonna do with all that stuff, I took a pic thinking I might try and sell it with the tornado and the single range transfer case to some lucky individual.
But it'd be nice to have if I ever restore my 64
I've got a lot more changes to make before that though.

I'm sure someone with a Tornado would love to have it. If I hadn't been spending money left and right on Jeep parts lately I'd make an offer on it just to have it. I'd like to have a 230 Wagoneer someday.
Going to be getting the lights sorted out, getting an impala 1965 column harness adapter to tie in the new column and keep the stock jeep harness connector, didn't want to cut up my harness to wire in the lights. I left my stock column alone as well in case I return to original.

Packard 56 is the series of connectors that were used in the 60’s and 70’s. I’m always pulling those things out at the junkyard to reproduce my harness’s.
I've been driving this thing around for awhile and
good news is I'm getting about 20 miles per gallon.
Bad news is I can't travel up an incline, still don't know if it's an air leak in fuel system or gearing. Once I get the smaller Super Swampers back on it I'll try again.

No progress, just more issues.
Put smaller tires on and hit the same hill and started overheating before I was able to determine if gearing was an issue with power loss. So I'm in the midst of solving cooling problems, I've kind of hit a wall with this...fearing it's severe but hopefully a new waterpump will do the trick.
The one I removed wasn't broken as i had hoped or leaking, but it did have a stamped steel impeller which doesn't fill the housing very well the replacement is an o.e. type with cast impeller machined to fit the housing.
Time will tell.

I moved my oil cooler from in front of my radiator and I'm seeing a consistent temperature 210.
Changing the water pump didn't change anything and I had a small pin hole in a weld on a hard pipe that I fixed both of which didn't changed the temperature until after I moved oil cooler.
So now I'm going to see if gearing is an issue with power loss uphill then rebuild a different rear end with possible gear change front back to accommodate running a 31 inch tire

Next is getting the rear brakes sorted out, which involves rearend/rear mounted tank swap.
I'd like to know if my gearing is an issue before I rebuild the replacement axle.
I'm hoping it's a simple fuel issue I've overlooked.
Cheap and simple stuff first though.

So I don't think it's the gearing causing power loss, I've tried "the hill" again since getting the cooling system under control with smaller wheels/tires and the problem persists.
However this led me to start digging into the fuel system again and just as I was preparing to pull the injection pump to Check/adjust timing I remembered that I had adjusted the A.L.D.A. prior to the overheating run. I had forgotten during the cooling system repairs that the alda adjustment had not yielded any results, so I removed it. Time to try again.

I made it all the way up this time, so improved.
The throttle seems more capable, but something is holding me back, my rear end maybee.??
Just checked temps on it. Pinion is Hot
How fast can you spin a dana 20 in 4hi ?
So check my thinking on this. If I can pull in 4hi but not in rear only would that indicate mechanical resistance of the rear?
It wouldn't change gearing so if it does make it that would rule out ratio... right??

When you had it in 4hi were the hubs locked with a driveshaft installed? And it did better?
If so and if the stars aligned and your tire sizes were off such that the front were doing the driving and unloading a messed up rear axle I suppose it could explain an improvement. Seems unlikely.
If the hubs weren't locked an improvement would seem to indicate a transfer case problem but that doesn't seem likely either

'84 GW with Nissan SD33T, early Chev NV4500, 300, narrowed Ford reverse 44, narrowed Ford 60, SOA/reversed shackle in fornt, lowered mount/flipped shackle in rear.

Using the shotgun approach. That can get expensive.
I like the idea of 4hi with the front disengaged to rule out traansfercase, I hadn't thought of that.
I have thought about removing the rear Driveline and trying it in 4 high to rule out the rear all together. I'll have to try them all and see what pans out.
The other thing is I still don't know what kind of boost I'm making so I need to get a gauge fixed up I'd also like to get an EGT to check my temps.
It may be turbo related.
The only real way to check the IP for functionality is to pull it out time it and then drip tested for flow.
