Site Maintenance 9/6/19

Post by Stuka »

I will be working on the site tomorrow if things go as I hope. The forum may be down for several hours.

It took 6+ hours, but I think I have it working on the latest and greatest version of PHPBB.

If anybody comes across any errors, please let me know!

Am I just missing it (very possible), or are the colored themes gone with the upgrade?

So far everything looks fine.

I had to refresh the page once on my phone. Probably due to some stale cached data or something. Once I refreshed it worked as expected.

Sadly, the dark theme is missing for now :(

This theme is made by somebody else. The dark theme was one that I custom made, meaning I have to remake it :(

I plan on getting to that though soon hopefully.

Aaahhh, no problem. I've got "Dark Reader" to handle it for the moment, but the site-specific color schemes work way better.

It's not working well for me with Chrome.

On the index pages I see a buncha boxes with lines like way zoomed out text covering the whole index area, about 40 across and two high for each subforum. I can see the text on top of them or through them and can click on those links. Once I get to the actual thread the posts look ok.

Except, many if not all of the drop down menus are already opened.

Thing is I'm pretty sure it worked ok earlier this evening. I can't see my last log in time because it's covered by a menu.

I was able to close the menu covering the time: 3:23 PDT. Was that before the update?

Edit: Never mind. This machine's been bugging me to update so I did. The site works fine now.

Thank you Stuka for running this site for us.

Same as above. I'll have to repartition my machine to update. Stupid install partitioned stuff way too friggin small for the root folder.

I suggest clearing your cache first. It should resolve the issue.

Chrome here, on a PC. No issues I can find. No reload or cache clearing. I don't recall having to log in again after the upgrade. I have the site 'remember me'.

Looks and works great on Windows 10 and FireFox 69. Love the preview pop-ups, first and last posts.
