Random Holly Carb Questions

Post by 66stepside »

I was digging through some dusty shelves in the way back looking for carbs I no longer needed and came across this one I might need/want. Trouble is it looks pretty old and I am not sure what it is aside from the fact it is a Holly.

250, 300, 500 cfm? Stock for ________, or after-market from back in the day?

Is it worth the rebuild? If it is a 250-300 cfm, I wouldn't mind using it on the 62 for gas sipping purposes. Any help is appreciated.

Holley 2 barrels are dang near bullet proof, and easy to rebuild

I've learned to really like their reliability over Fuddlebrock carbs... I run the 2bbl cfm on two of our jeeps and dig 'em. This one looks similar to the two I have, but on a smaller scale... I'll keep this one and tear it apart.

Thanks, guys.

Might do a search for the toll free help line at Holly and give them some numbers off of it, and they can tell you exactly what you have and a number for a kit.

That's a good idea, I never thought of that. I'd have to scrub the carb to see the serial numbers clearly, though.

Napa would probably know- they're the only ones who were a me to help me figure out what brake master cylinder on the panel delivery came from when I had to redo the brakes on it awhile ago. I would trust the factory more.

It looks like the correct carb for a Gladiator with a 230. The Wags had an electric choke. Not sure about the panels.

Holley has pretty much disavowed any OEM carbs and they were considering dropping making them altogether due to dropped sales. I think the sales have dropped mostly due to cut off tech support.

Bob Evans at Autozone in Erlanger , KY could set you right up.. If you strike out elsewhere looking for info give him a call. The guy is truly the Holley Guru.
