I thought I made an announcement here about my new offering but I can’t find it so perhaps I didn’t.
Tooling for the J Truck bed repair patches I have been working on for nearly two years is finally done. I will be picking up a steel order tomorrow to make five sets. A complete set includes eight patches.
These patches replace the often rusted horizontal seam between the bodyside upper and lower. The cross section shape is the same as original. They are full length from the fender flair to the front and rear end of the bed, made from 18 gauge sheet steel.
I can send pictures through Email to anyone interested.
I used to name my FSJ’s after their previous owners, I realized I had too many with five named Rick.

Pics please ? Im getting a j10.. but theure new to me.. what panels are you exactly talkin about. ?
Do you mean this section
Yes, this is the seam between the bodyside upper and lower panels. This seam exists both fore and aft of the wheel opening. It is almost always the first area to rust on the truck beds.

Somebody should make the bottom outer corners of the tail light panels too! Wasn't someone on here promising those?
Yes, I remember that fellow. I have a certain amount of disdain for those who can’t keep promises. I would never do such a thing. LOL
Seriously, I have the tooling designed for this rear panel. It is adjustable to accommodate first and second generation tailgates. As some of you fellows know the first generation truck beds had narrower tailgates and wider rear panels than second generation beds.

Thank you for the emailed pictures.
Do you have an idea on pricing yet?
Yes, I am currently processing five sets at $65 for each panel. (one complete side requires four panels). Material represents about 30% of the cost so this prize is subject to change.
