Those don't look like factory mirrors/bases. They have to know about BJ's or this site.

It is nice, have to agree on the mirrors though.

No windshield or door trim, I know '78 had them is this correct on a 79-80 ?

Amazing what a new paint job and graphics do for a Jeep!
Very nice!

Round gas filler on bed, pre '79.
Square headlight grill, '79-80.
Non OEM mirrors/bases.
Passenger headrest, driver delete?

Windshield trim? I dunno if that was a option or a package deal??? Did only Honcho's come with the chrome? I think it's just missing.
Or was it ever a factory Honcho or did it find a new dress?

Awesome truck but doesn't look like an original Honcho : the bright door window frames are missing, the stickers seem new : if they were original , why the "J10" emblems are missing on the front fenders ? These aluminium rims were not included in the Honcho package, but look period correct. According to the combination : roof, grille and bumpers, it seems to be a '80. I agree for the mirrors.

The windshield trim which is indeed missing was included in the following packages : "custom", "pioneer", "honcho", "golden eagle" or "Laredo"
edited : actually standard from '78, only included in the trim packages for the J10 first years

my Golden Eagle does but I didn't know it was part of the package. I assumed all J10's had it.

I'm sure that some ditch it when they have the windshield replaced. My 79 and 77 are both base models and both came with the windshield trim, but I left it off my 79 when I replaced the windshield and gasket. It didn't want to wrap around the top corners of the new gasket so I just left it off.

Good point, It depends if we are talking of just the windshield trim or of the bright door window frames :
The windshield trim is mentioned as standard for the j-trucks in the Jeep data books from '78 and the following years
The bright door window frames are only mentioned in the trim packages

For this truck both are missing : windshield trim and bright window frames, i assume like Redone that the windshield was replaced at some point. The missing windshield trim doesn't say it was not an Honcho originally. For the bright window frames, an Honcho should have them , but they could be repainted..

Below a pic from a '76 brochure of a J10 without the windshield trim. I have other examples which show also that the windshield trim was not standard for the J10 first years

If that is the Jtruck I think it is, it was moved to CO from GA about 13-14 years ago. I think the restore was completed just before they moved to the CO Springs area. They have since sold off the fleet of FSJs they had (4?) and I have not heard from them in several years.
