Welcome to the board!

Definitely interested in seeing those J20 pictures (and the CJ5 too, as I have a soft spot for CJs.)

as anyone noticed that the yellow j20 is rhd? the red one is a usaf base run about and has done only 16500 miles with a 401.

the yellow is a special order truck with a 258, 4 speed manual and a d20. it also has 4.88 gears and a lsd in the d60 from factory.
both need rebuilding but i will post my progress as i do

hi blake.. thats not the steering shaft. the steering is still on the other side. what you can see there is some form of a brace that was fitted to stiffen up the cab......... let me explain, the fsj,s in england were bought as lhd models then shipped to the uk (about 5000 were done) then converted to rhd, the conversion is done by changing everything in the cab. under the bonnet stays the same, the steering column is cut and refixed at the other side then a chain mechanism runs across the the other side of the cab and re connects to the sterring shaft  . the clutch and brakes are done in the same way but with shafts. everything on the dash is just reversed and a nice leather dash pad made (very nicely made acually) and refitted. will put some pics on of the bits. then for some reason (might be to bring it to uk specs) a brace is fitted to the right side to stiffen up the cab (maybe in a crash). they make all the heater boxes, pipes ect and refit. not seen one with aircon! its all done very neatly by jeep uk. but jeeps do rot away for fun so i dont know how many of the 5000 are left, at a guess not prob less than 50 :banghead: . the red j20 is all lhd you will be glad to hear. as far as i can tell they stopped doing then after about 4 years because they were to expensive and people wouldnt buy them, were over run with landrovers here. i used to have a 1953 series one 80" landrover but my cj5 kicks it ass in every way and i cant wait to get the trucks on the road. the only trouble over here is getting parts, so i hope you guys can help we with that :D
