So basically, fan bent for some unknown reason and it ate the radiator. The tow home is going to be $150, radiator $200, fan around $50. May need motor mounts or something too. I dunno.

Who all is going to be in ouray still on Saturday? I might not make it until friday evening now. If I fix the Cherokee or Wagoneer I won't have enough money for the trip. But I get another paycheck on friday.

To bring the 91 it needs at minumum an oil change, insurance, carb rebuild, registration, charge wire replaced. Not sure which of my two options will be cheapest.

Tomorrow I'll try and communicate with someone to get my potluck supplies shipped out to the KOA.

Gabe that sucks. How on earth did that happen?

Well I just pulled the trigger on a new PSC 1.5x8" steering cylinder. I just have to wait on the shipping. I think I"m gonna be either late or not coming at all. Depends on how long it takes them to ship the cylinder and how long fedex sits on it. Texas to Colorado shouldn't take too long...

I'll probably have a spare seat and can pick you up on the way out to Ouray on Thursday. I'll be returning home Sunday.

I have come to the conclusion that I won't have enough miles on the truck to trust it that far. But I have two other Jeeps to choose from and will be making the trip regardless.

It occurs to me that I also have a spare radiator. It's a plastic/aluminum one. But it's new and you can have it for free.

I might take one of you up on that. If all goes according to plan the Jeep will be operational again tonight. Then I can leave tomorrow night. Get into the KOA late.

Last night in my bed. Heading out in the morning, be there tomorrow evening. We are not staying at the KOA, but is that where most who are already there will be in the evening? Would like to swing through and meet you all. BTW we decided to trailer the Wagoneer out there, just not enough pre Ouray miles on it to fully trust it that far, so is there a place to drop a trailer at the KOA? Maybe the towing truck too? Thanks and look forward to seeing everyone. My son decided to drag his 86 Wagoneer out too, so we're bringing two FSJs. See you tomorrow.

Garey

Shawn and his copilot Sabrina and I ran Yankee and Gov. Yankee is closed about 1/2 mile from the normal stopping part. There is a big snow melt right where the trail should be. Gov is also blocked by snow, Shawn might post some pics. Again about 1/2 mile from the 'end'. Still both were totally worth doing. There is a great little spot where Gov ends you can look down at the twin falls. I always missed this because I was trying to get to the end. It's a great picnic spot with some shade available.

Both trails are still fun to do even though you don't get to 'the end'.
