Heater blower motor resistor - wire nuts for thermal fuse?

Post by 87 Money Pit »

the thermal fuse on my GW's heater blower motor resistor burns up every fall ... Would wire nuts work ok as an fastener that would be easier / quicker to change or would the plastic in them melt?

If you keep blowing the themal fuse you have something that not working right.
Your blower motor is either draging[shower RPM than need] or you have a current
draw somewhere[short].

Wire nuts - In an emergency? Maybe, but not as a long term solution.
