Once again I am retrieving my Wagoneer from the death grip the driveway has had on it for the past few years. Winter is coming and the 2wd Flatbed Chevy won't cut it.
Over the Thanksgiving weekend I'll be prepping the Jeep to drive from South Jersey to DC.
Over the winter I plan on a panel by panel rebuild/refinish of the Jeep to presentable standards.
Since we all love pics I'll fluff with a few in chronological order since purchase.

So far I see 3 different colors, and at least 2 grills, theres one where the rhino looks black with a chrome emblem. Whats the final color going to be?
Soon to be using my Wag as DD. It has the wandering steering syndrome. I know the Ball Joints are good with no play and I have tightened the steering box to my dad's experienced specs. So next on my list are my Tie Rods. Checked with Bj's and TGW and my question is this.
TGW sells Crown brand Tie rod assemblies with a 12mo warranty at $159.00 plus shipping. BJ's sells a complete MOOG assembly with lifetime warranty for $300 with Lifetime Warranty.
Does the warranty make up for the cost difference? Who here has used Crown and can comment on their durability, or the durability of MOOG?
Thanks for any input.

Found these lights on a 60's wag in my local Junkyard. Snagged them and cleaned them up. Unfortunately I didn't get replacement bulbs before parking the Jeep.
I use to have disassembled pictures but they where 5 phones ago. I'll be rewiring the fog lights since they stopped working a while back. Luckily a Google search brings up the replacement bulbs for these. General Electric 35w amber sealed beam fog light if I remember correctly.

They were setup as fog lights and I'm aiming for that/aesthetics. I'm liking the nostalgia of these lights and will have bulbs on order shortly and wire them up and see how well they throw light.

Jeep has been on the road for the past 3 weeks. Been trying to adjust the choke but it's been kicking my butt.
Use to never turn off/ high idle all day. Adjusted the temp coil and looks like it was over adjusted and holding my choke just right. Now I need to pump my gas 6 times, turn over then pump 4 times then starts and then baby it with the throttle till she stabilizes.
Been reading the how to's and hopefully going to get it right again.

Well I ordered a full walker exhaust for $300 total since I wanted quiet non leaking exhaust and for someone to build a system would cost over $600. Should be back the second week of Feb. Installing the system.

Installed my exhaust at the base auto hobby shop and boy do I like my quiet exhaust.
Initial start up seems easier on the truck due to the added back pressure of having a Cat with something in it and a real muffler again. Enjoying my ability to hear my engine and radio and not the darn exhaust note.
Been working on the Jeep a little bit. Slowly turning it sand beige with spray on bedliner. Have the roof left and a touch up of the roof rack back to black.
I also finally wired up the fog lights and replaced the headlight bulbs.
