J&W shipped a second fender, both went UPS wrapped in lots of cardboard, considering the quality of used parts I've been getting from them lately They must be low on FSJ's
The fuel lines from tank to engine have not been installed yet, but have most of the parts I will use,at the tank (oem 89 Burb)Pure Choice Motorsport has fitting that push onto oem fuel pump (pressure and return) and convert to AN6 from there will fab two SS teflon hoses to frame and then to Stainless seamless 3/8" tubing, (silver solder AN6 male on both ends) and then back to oem fuel filter and return line using kit from Pure Choice, carbon canister at tank will just flex fuel hose with hose clamps, want this truck to be smog legal so going oem as much as possible
700R4's shift points are dictated by the TVR cable and proper adjustment is critical,4L60/80 shifts point are controlled by the pcm and can be programmed to perfection, btw you would have to use a LS engine that is drive by cable
Slow going right now, mocking up engine accessories/wiring/ etc, Steve is modifying wiring loom to interface with the 91 dash / vintage air a/c / also reprogramming PCM to 89 Vette so we run elect rad fans with an a/ c request also trying to decide what color to paint maroon or indigo

Yea I've done some more research and looks like it will more likely be a 4L80
By the way love the vintage air set up. I hope to go this route when I redo mine. Plus the added room under the hood makes it easier for a possible turbo set up in the future!

Right, the heater was in the way with the AMC 360, moreso with LS , but did end putting the smog pump there, one of the goals is for the truck to smog legal
mocking up cold air intake, wouldn't be able to do this build without the help of my son Steve, his shop and time, and funds provided by SSI, hardly enough to retire on but nice to have extra spending money!
Hi Jim, Yeah the air box design solves a couple of problems, covers the holes in the firewall (which have been welded closed but not ground down) and uses the original fresh air intake for the heater, the mock up uses a oem toyota filter, one of the goals is easily obtainable parts down the road.
just hope the volume and temp of intake air will work with this engine and help it to breath easier
Looking for a smog legal Calif exhaust solution, the long tube headers I'm using now don't have a EO from CARB, engine is 2004 Tahoe 5.3 Vortec Calif smog, seen shorty headers and of stock manifold, what has been used with success?
Everybody I have known has put on the long tubes, and hoped for the best. But since your truck is going to be going under the microscope by a smog referee, I would go with legal shorties.
