So I went out this morning turned the key to on and everything was fine turned it to start and everything went dead. No amount of jiggling helps and the battery was replaced last night and has over 12 volts coming from it. I've replaced the ignition switch and key cylinder in the past less than a year ago. Does anyone have any ideas what my problem could be? To top it off I was getting ready to leave for a date.
Don't know where but you have a loose connection. with the limited info there's no telling where but if you have battery voltage then something is loose. Since the Battery terminals was the last place you messed with it would be the first place to start.

No longer strangled. I didn't build it for anyone else.
If you can't improve it why waste your time?
Okay so I just went out and the lights will not even come on so that backs up the battery cable I'll have to check that after work. But it was fine all night last night how would it go bad over night?
Try wiggling the connection and see if everything pops back on. If not, then I would look into the ammeter. Everything goes dead when they blow out too.
I just had this same problem. Started and ran fine on the way to work. 1 hour later, go to start it and click, nothing. I found that I still had 12 volts on the motor side of the bulkhead and only 7 volts on the interior side of the bulkhead. I never pin pointed what it was but switching out the under hood harness fixed it. Wish I had more details for you. Godd Luck!
