New FSJ owner, J20 rescue and build...

Post by GAPATRIOT »

Just stumbled across a rot free "87 J20 with 94K on it,had to save her! After some research here are the details-360V8,AT,PS,PB,8400GVW and a factory limited slip rear! The engine just shut off while driving about two years ago...I hope it's something simple like an electronic module, but we'll see.I'll be getting her dropped off later today.

Nice! With these trucks it may very well be something simple. Let us know if you have a plan of attack or are looking for input.

Welcome!

And I would not be surprised if it was the electronic ignition module or the magnetic pickup in the distributer. Local autoparts store can test the ignition module.

Looks like a beautiful survivor. :-bd

It alway throws me off when I see a final edition dash in a truck. They are just not that common.

Looks like a good place to start. Congrats! That dash came out in 86 and was used until FSJ production stopped in 91.
