I made the steering on my jeeps.Knucklehead wrote:The seller also sells the 1ton tre. I am sorta confused on the steering linkage. Do i HAVE to make my own Steering linkage, or can I temporarily use the factory linkage? Hence my question about the factory tie rod ends and whether they are GM taper.
I didn't on any of my FSJ's, but YMMV.Knucklehead wrote:Plans are to use stock springs on the SOA then go full high steer. Will I need spacers under the high steer arms?
Depends on several things.Knucklehead wrote:Plans are to use stock springs on the SOA then go full high steer. Will I need spacers under the high steer arms?

It typically means their prices fluctuates with material prices. Labor and overhead is a set cost. I have done web work for companies like this. They are normally smaller and don't have time to always update the site, and do not have the size or cache to charge a higher flat rate for the part.j20owner wrote:"Call for Pricing" annoys me. Why can't they just put it on the page? Arbitrary price setting. Call them on a bad day and have to pay more?
I would call the guy and ask for a set like this but in 1 inch instead of 3/4 inch and ask for the 10 degree steering correction and GM taper.Knucklehead wrote:The arms are from Xtreme Wheeling Parts in Colorado Springs. He also makes a 1" spacer to go with them.

Not off hand. I got mine from BJ's about 5 years ago, have worked great thus far. As I recall GM brake lines work, but I am not sure on year/model.Knucklehead wrote:OK, knuckles are off for machining. $480 for machining both knuckles, 1" High Steer arms, all new ball joints and 4 new 1 ton GM Tie Rod Ends. Now my attention turns to brakes. Does anyone have P/N for the extended brake lines I will need?
