Tin medic, I have a passenger area set coming from bj's, When I get it installed I'll get back with you on how it is. This is my first post here so I don't know about pics but I can email them to you. I looked all over for pictures and reviews and came up pretty empty.

Tin medic, my vinyl floor kit came in today. I was surprised to see that it came with the jute padding. I thought only the carpet came with that stuff. I'm undecided about using the padding. Hopefully I will be able to get it installed this weekend and post some pictures for you.

Thanks, I didn't know it came with the backing either. Once you get it in post some pics if you can.

This pic is from this morning after the mats had set in the truck all night. The paper work states to leave mats flat for 48 hours before trimming, and I will have to trim as well as poke all the holes. I'm thinking that I will work with it for today and tomorrow before I start trimming. It is a 2 piece set that overlap a good 12-18" and the back piece goes up under the back seat about a foot.

Did you have to use a heat gun or anything to get it to conform well? I may go this route in my J10 instead of carpet.

No heat gun yet. It's just been setting in the jeep all day so far. I go push and form every couple of hours. Maybe tomorrow afternoon I will try to form it good. When it first came out of the box I thought all I got was a flat piece of vinyl but the bends are there.

What is everyone's opinion on making the holes for the seat brackets and seat belt re-tractors. Should I make a hole just big enough for the bolts or cut the vinyl around the seat mounts so that they are in direct contact with the floor? I am leaning towards having the brackets in direct contact with the floor, which means a bigger hole in the vinyl but a more solid mount for the seat and seat belts.

I would only do holes big enough for the bolts. The Vinyl will be sandwiched and wont be an issue.

The funny thing about Arizona weather, when your sick and tired of the heat all you get is more heat but when you need it the clouds roll in and it cools down and pours rain. Yesterday afternoon I was set to start trimming the mat and the thunderstorm dropped temps to the 60's. Maybe today I will be able to finish installing.

LOL, we are in our monsoon season, so temps have been under 90 and mostly cloudy. I LOVE this time of year... :ymapplause:

This is taking longer than I thought. I will be in Tucson for the rest of the week so, finishing up after work is out of the question. I already have quite a few tips for those considering these. The biggest tip is take out the quadratrac shifter first, so you don't end up with a hole 3" in front of where the hole is supposed to be. A heat gun would be really helpful, even though I don't have one, I should not have relied on just the hot days. Get new, longer screws for the trim pieces that go over the door seal. I WILL have this finished by the end of this weekend and post up some pictures.

Jaber, if that's an offer, thanks. To bad I'm not going through Chino Valley. On a different note does the link in your signature do bumpers and or roof racks?

I finished the install today, except for the seat belt bolts. I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out, there is some loose spots that I think a heat gun would have helped with but overall it lays down nice. The second seat piece came long enough to go up the step from the floor to the bed area and it was the hardest to get to form so I ended up cutting it off and putting the trim piece back on. Here is some pictures.

Cool, how is the sound level inside? And did you end up using the foam?
