Pop the horn cover off, you will sometimes need to remove a small plate. Under that is a large nut, pull that off. Then you will see two small holes on each side. The puller will go into that.
that plate can be a B!^(# to put back on so if you only have to remove the wheel and not get into the column you have nothing to worry about. Replace the locking plate too if not, then everything below it goes crunch crunch.
And don't forget to put witness marks on the steering wheel and the steering column shaft, so you make sure you get it back into the proper position...
