Thats a really good job on repairing those panels.

What gauge steel did you use?

Thanks!!

The two panels I had bent were just a bit thicker than the BJs front halves. Not sure what their gauge is. They also did not cover the rot where the floor board slopes up in the front so used some of the rear material to patch the front.
My only regret,
Is I wish I protected the inside of the windshield while I was grunding. There is little slag pieces and pock marks on the inside of the glass.

I am hoping to get it back from the paint shop in the next few weeks. It has received a new carpet installation and door panels since the last pics. Still a ways to go.

It was actually sitting in my driveway until this past August when I brought it into our warehouse to start cleaning it up.

Back in my warehouse from the paint shop. Still a ways to go. More pieces to be chromed and windshield to be put in.

Oooh, shiny.

I use bicycle inner tubes to cover tailgate chains. Might be worthwhile to protect the paint.

Regarding Orange, we used to attend church a block from Cambridge and Collins.

Back fence of our home now faces the school yard at La Veta. When we arrived in 1961, that was all orange grove. The school was already there, but the original school yard ended somewhere in what is now the paved part of the playground.

When I was in 3rd grade, I'd walk home for lunch. Young children would not be allowed out of school at midday without an adult today. A different age...
