Just a few.

First, the obligitory 'Welcome to Colorado' and 'Ouray' pics:

By the overlook. Patrick's Jeep and mine. First day, heading to Red Mountain...
Image

A shot on Red Mountain. I liked it because it looks like the gas can is on top of my Jeep.
Image

It rained. I decided to show off my water proof jacket and pants.

A nice shot of Patrick on Red Mountain.

An impromptu group shot

on the way back we were held up by a mud slide. We made the best of it, doing a road side repair while I made up some ribs and cheese crisps.

Gov basin with Austin and his really nicely done custom 4 door J truck. The more experience folks at camp confirmed the body modification was done correctly. The engine transplant is a work of art.

A small bridge, a photo opportunity:

I really like this shot of Scott's 4 door wide track conversion. It was good to see it again after the accident. Even better looking this year with lots of attention to detail. Nice rig!
Image

Sadly an Ouray ICON was retired this year. Kenny's jeep gave it up on the way up engineer. I was hesitant to strap him down, there are some serious drop offs but we sent 'The Cat' ahead of us to warn folks what we were up to so we didn't meet anyone in a bad spot. Scott slowed him down with his rear disc and hydro boost. I gave him a tug when gravity wasn't in our favor. Once we got down to 550 scott went for his tow rig and trailer and broght the rig home.

The cat and I next to each other. He made my rig look small..
Image

I got it into my mind to take a shot of the 'big rigs' at camp.
Image

Saturday, before heading home, we took some time to do one more trail. Mini (???)
Image

Finally, an arranged shot of Casey and his brother Patrick on the last day. I followed Patrick down to AZ and stayed the night with them before heading home. Thanks for the bed!

I think our rigs are about the same height. How much lift do you think your rig has? I think mine has around 10-12"...

I don't think you have that much, unless you have 3-4" lift springs and taller perches like Tads.

yeah I have the rancho 44044's on the front of both the waggy and the j10. the waggy is SOA on a ford hp d44 with like 3-4" of lift on those springs. stock front spring mounts. I think I have the stock front shackles on there right now, but they might be some 2" bj's (I've switched them back and forth a few times).

I am not much higher than a soa and sf. When I had the springs made I told them about an inch of lift.

I think if you got any lift from the 44044's after they broke in you are lucky. They are known for sagging from their advertised 2" lift height.

On the way back I rolled past the quarter million mile mark. I meant to catch it right at 250K but was about 10 minutes (miles) off....
