HELP! Need mid-late 70's

Post by ScottsMojo »

front seat belt attachment points!

The bottom is a no brainer but the upper retractor and the mid-point guide have me stumped as to how they are arranged. I see the mounting hole above the passenger window, but cannot find the third mounting position. The piece on the right I understand. Its the rest that has me :-?

I found the same set up at the yard, the left part is mounted above the floor on the B pillar above the unit with the retractor with the buckle, the mid point guide, is above the shoulder of the seated person on the B pillar as well.... not above the rear passenger window, albeit the older FSJ had it on the TSM for the 74, but they are probably not retractable...

X2, the right part mounts to the floor, the left one is at the bottom of the B pillar.

I was going to add these to my '75, but seems like too much work, so I'll find a simpler set up.

By chance can anyone get me some measurements? From the floor to the upper retractor, from the floor to the upper anchor?

Thanks Jeff! Saturday will be fine, I am not in a rush. I just got to playing around with them Sunday and wasn't able to figure it out. They will be installed soon, so I am getting what I need together now. :fsj:

I got the pics, but realized that these are '85 and '88 GWs. Here they are anyway...

Installed, box has retractor, floor anchor in front of it.

Same, from above.

Thumb next to retractor bolt hole, index finger next to anchor bolt hole.

Hope this helps...

Thanks Jeff. That helps a bunch. Only thing I need now is the dimension of the upper mount (B pillar) bolt centerline to the floor...

1.5" from the floor (Carpeted) to the centerline. ;)
