Best trip yet. Would have been a ton of fun to have been along on that outing.
'81 CJ5 Base, 258 I6, MC2100, T176 4 spd, 300 TC, D30 Front NT, 3.31, 2-Piece AMC 20 rear NT, 3.31, 4" high arc spring lift
'84 Grand Wagoneer, 401 V8 (.030 over), Edelbrock clone 1406, 727 auto, Selec-trac NP229, AMC 20 REAR - D44 FRONT - WT 3.31, 4" high arc spring lift
Rather be driving, than waiting to be modified

This was a good trip for sure. Well till the end anyway. The Jeep caught fire the next day.

Wait, what? What was the cause? Need details.

I started a thread here viewtopic.php?t=23458 . It was fuel related. I believe the fuel line from the filter to the carb failed. I have heard from others that this seems to be a issue with standard fuel line now with the modern fuels. I have been told to replace the fuel lines with fuel injector fuel lines.

Yes lots of vehicles burned down over modern fuels and crap fuel line. Fuel injection hose is all I’ve seen hold up.
The bus I ride is so short it is a yellow Smart Car full of squirrels, monkeys and clowns.

Just another way to get the older vehicles off the road I suspect...

So sad you had the fire, but glad it was close to emergency services, and nobody was hurt. Looking for more vids with your other rig, until you get Ol Yeller Jeep back on the trails :)

Could have been a total loss out in the wilderness for sure. I will post the other videos here too if they are all right with that.
