Transfer Case Vacuum Shift Pod Question

I'm replacing the two vacuum lines on my transfer case vacuum shift pod and I noticed that the pod is able to be rotated freely. It's not necessarily loose but it can be easily rotated. I didn't want to screw anything up so I didn't try and screw it in or tighten it in any way. Should this be able to rotate like that? If not does anyone have a remedy or suggestion? Thanks

No reply from any Quadratrac experts?

You can look here: https://www.jubileejeeps.org/quadratrac/index.htm Suggest you study this and the related section in the TSM.

Appears to me that the entire vacuum motor can rotate on its axis. The pod is attached rigidly to the shaft; you're turning the whole assembly. Nothing prevents it from rotating.

No expert, but I keep QT info fresh in my head, since I just rebuilt mine. Yes, it's totally fine for the Vac Pod to spin. It is NOT ok if it moves at all, in and out.
