I’m trying to talk my brother into going. He’s a sophomore at the universities of Arizona and had a vehicle down there so he might go. He is a Comanche guy but he likes to look at some fsjs too so I’m hoping he goes to at least take some pictures for me

Coordinates where it is or directions. Planning to day trip it from AJ, and if coming the 18th, will be sure to contribute food.

That's the wash where we typically camp. Take Florence Kalvin highway to Cockran road. You drive down cockran for a bit and finally drop into the wash.

I will be there Saturday for sure, I might camp Fri-Sun but that depends on my travel plans for Thanksgiving. I won't be bringing the jeep, she is still down but I will bring dessert
Tomorrow we may face destiny, we may fight and die and fall to the fires of perdition, but tonight is ours, and we drink and make merry.

BethAnn and I (along with Katelyn and the dog) are planning on coming, finally! :fsj:

Does everyone usually arrive Friday? Is there a spot nearby (obviously not in the wash) that we could bring our big-ass RV? We haven't discussed our dish yet but possibly mashed potatoes and gravy.

Bryan, there are well over a dozen primitive pull through sites that can accommodate a truck and trailer your size on the main part of Cochran Road on they way to the camp site area, these are all on state trust land, first come first serve.
They are located before you get to the cattle guard about 12 miles in, it’s about 4 miles from the cattle guard to the wash where we camp, after that it gets a bit tight and turn around access is very limited.

fyi state trust permit req'd, doubt if anyone will come pinch you, i prospect in the wickenburg area and we camp on state trust land and have been permit checked several times. 25.00 a year, the rules are you can traverse s.t.land , no permit reqd, and a state hunting license also gets you off the hook, just 1 for the memory bank thats all

We are gonna try with ALL MY MIGHT!
I have to pick up a transfer case for my XJ on Tue. Then R&R it as well as get my front drive shaft rebuilt.....................
""WAIT!
Was it not a TC that went out on you on your way home from Ouray a few years back Dusty??"""
Why yes it was.

But........... Easy peasy!!
It's a baby Jeep........what could possibly go wrong??
I know I'll be bringing the home made cranberry sauce, and maybe something else?
We just have a little bit of a cruise to make it of course. I'll know by Friday if we are 100%

Thank you, Tad!

Unfortunately we have had some multiple smaller things come up that just won't let it work out. I am disappointed because we were very excited about it. We had to move to Yuma to stay put on full RV hookups for a while. Hoping for next year! Going to miss everyone!
