Mine has been unbolted from the frame since I did the HB conversion, so 7 years or so.
Not ideal but it has not cracked a line yet and all my hard lines are 43 years old but one.

I'd probably just use affix it using the hard lines on each side. Tap a small hole in the frame and use the line hold-downs with the rubber on them.

Drill a pilot hole through the bolt hole and put a self tapping screw in to keep it steady...

This seems the simplest.

Got your spring plates mounted Tad. The u-bolts had spread a little for some reason, and boy was that a doozy to get them to fit back in the holes.

Got it though. need to go find some big washers though since we welded those other ones to the plates.

You have a Copperstate there: http://www.copperstate.com/Location.aspx
Or any decent spring shop should have them.
I like to support local first but Copperstate will usually have anything I need within 24 hours.

PHEW!!!

It's a hundred and stupid degrees out there.

Got the spring plates mounted up (used grade 8 flat washers and a lock washer), got my tires mounted on the 6 lug rims, those are back on the truck.

got the brakes bled to the best of my ability with the help of the woman.

Also bolted up my steering column after reinstalling the (new) gauge cluster.

I believe the only thing between me and what should be a successful test drive, is installing the gas tank.

Looking good! Really liking the white wheels.

Wasn't as hot here (104), but had to drill some holes in the frame if the JK. Nothing like hot metal shavings getting stuck to your sweaty arm!

Needed to change the oil on the J10, but that can wait.

thanks. i like the white wheels too, and a few of my nay-saying friends said they are growing on them.

On Saturday, it was only around a hundred here, I was cutting down steel pipe clothes line poles in the yard... the sawzall was throwing some superheated bit around though!

I hear you guys in Las Vegas set some kind of a world record this weekend, didn't you? And still making good progress in it, respect!

Not a world record but a local record almost. We tied our highest temp ever recorded. 117. We hit 117 in July 1942 and July 2005.

The previous record for this weekend was 116 in 1940. We beat the record for the specific day

The world record is from 1913 in Death Valley, and it is 134F. Yesterday death valley hit 129.9.
