Welcome to the forum. We should be able to answer most questions that you may have.

You can get a lot of FSJ specific parts from places like BJ's Offroad. A lot of more common parts tended to be shared with GM/Ford/Chrysler products of the era and can be purchased from regular parts houses.

Welcome Fix. This is a wonderful place, glad to have you. If I could ask one favor from you as you go about your restoration? When you ask questions and get answers that remedy the problem, please post up the details of the cure. Other folks may have the same questions and can learn from your experience.
Cheers!

Welcome! Are you going for an all-out nut and bolt restoration, or fix it up and add upgrades ad you go?

There are 2 major differences between new Wranglers and FSJs. FSJs are meant to be both utilitarian and capable, not just capable. FSJs are also rarely initially recognized as Jeeps by the average American.
