Annual Windrock Trip

Got to get out and do some wheeling this weekend and meet up with some good friends.

We all get together at Windrock and campout once a year, so needless to say it is one I look forward to.

Friday we had 2 JK'S in our convoy, and this awesome Scrambler. It has a 401, 1 Tons, Full Hydro, cherry bombs out the side.... Just a real slick ride.

My buddy just acquired the red Cherokee and has been dailying it. It's been 6.0 swapped, NP241 TC. I believe it has a 4L80E.

Conditions were unforgiving, and the heavy rain made for interesting trail conditions. The average temp was probably 40 degrees.

Not Jeep related, but this FJ Cruiser on Tons was quite a unique rig.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Windrock is my favorite place to wheel in the east. Lots of great times there.

Scrambler was the coolest rig there by a long shot. The long wheel base gave it a definite advantage on the rocks while still being maneuverable. The only flaw was the axle width paired with 15" wide wheels IMO. Too wide for such tight quarters.

The Cherokee 6.0 was having over-heating problems so I actually didn't get to see it in action. :(

Rattle Rock and school bus are my favorite technical trails, other than that I just love wondering around there. If you haven’t done so need to go up and check out the WWII radar station.
