I know Derek plans on showing up. I will be there too. I can do the Turkey again unless someone else wants to take it on. I will also show up with some appetizers and, of course, cheese crisps!

We will be there for the dinner Saturday. The rest of the camping/wheeling will likely not happen as the Heep is still very much in beta condition and sucking up my time/resources. We can bring a side dish or two.

Some side ideas, let me know if you have a preference:
  • Green bean casserole
  • Corn bread stuffing
  • Funeral potatoes
  • Sweet potato casserole

I will make it out for the pot luck but I won't stay over. The engine for the jeep is still on the stand and I will still be in my back brace until December
Tomorrow we may face destiny, we may fight and die and fall to the fires of perdition, but tonight is ours, and we drink and make merry.

As most of you know Jenni and Ralph and the family, this might be a good place to give an update.
Last April Jenni went into the hospital with severe pancreatitis. Since that time it has been touch and go. She has even suffered from drug induced Parkinsons. Some of the meds she was getting to combat the pancreatitis did this.
I got to Oregon 8 weeks ago. And likely will be here a couple more weeks.
Since that time she has recovered to a point that if you just talked to her for the first time you might not think anything is wrong.
She still has a long way to go and is faced with 6 months to a year to get out of a care facility and likely will take insulin and pancreas replacement therapy for the rest of her life.
Thanks for reading.

Even if I don't make it back and Noel doesn't make it. Our house is not that far away and there is a trailer and tools and a place to stay if need be.

Pat, Jenni is also in my thoughts. Please give her my best.

I miss this gathering. Gratitude is the theme when I am there. It will be difficult to do this again as I am leaving for FL in a few weeks. Times are a changing...
