Something else that's nice about this, the relay upgrade isn't really needed. The only catch is, the OEM plugs tend to be very corroded at this point.

I was looking at these form 78 J10, let us know how you like them, I'm considering this too.

Just ordered my Retrobrights today. I was gonna wait a bit longer, but the other night, I was cruising through town on my way home from work and nailed an armadillo.
Never seen the bugger wander out in front of me. Felt Like I hit a cinder block. Actually did a u turn and went back thinking somebody lost something and it was a road hazard. Nope. Fresh roadkill.

Took using my high beams to make out what it was.

Jeep is fine. Just a brief "WTF!" moment.

Went with the modern white look as 5000K-6000K is proven to be the best for visibility. Will update once installed.

Thought about that, but plenty of youtube videos showing the differences between stock and retrobrights in both 3000K and 5700K flavors, so I'll direct you there.

The Retrobrights just saved Radio Flyer tonight.

Driving home on the state route and caught a glimpse of what first looked like someone walking down the middle of the lane away from me. There's a notorious bar literally a few hundred feet away, so very possible. Started braking firmly and hit the high beams. Nope. Some dumb@$$ young buck is strolling down the center of the lane. I come to nearly a complete stop while flashing my lights. Finally snap him out of his stupor and it panics and darts left, then right before leaving the roadway.

If I still had the stock headlights, I never would have seen it.

Low beams just making out the outline. This is right after I knew something was there. Had already began slowing from 50mph.

High beams now on. It's then I realize it's a f'n deer.

Still hard on brakes. Flash him with low/high and get his attention.

Almost at a stop before it runs off roadway.

The wife's Eagle is gonna get retrobrights now. $400 is nothing compared to what a couple of body parts (much less paint) for these vintage rides cost.

Yikes dodgerammit. Glad you had the lights. I keep thinking about some type of thermal vision. This place is lousy with critters: elk, deer, yotes, horses, and every other kinda critter. It would be nice to have them show up glowing red on a screen instead of having to rely on the old mark 1 eyeball-- especially when on low beam.

Also, I can report my truck lites are working nicely so far.

Yep. I understand original, I really do. However, the reality for us who actually like to drive our classics more than a couple of times a year is, sometimes safety takes precedence.

I went with the retrobrights as well. A bit pricey but nice balance between styling and performance.

Mine will be a daily driver when I finally get it done. When I bought it, I drove several hours at night, in the rain, through mountain passes to get it home. LEDs and wipers went on the "to do" list pretty much immediately along with brakes (upgrading to hydroboost) and steering.
