Moving my build thread over to the new forum in case the mothership ever dies.

I bought my 79 J20 off a member here back in Jan of 2011. This is how it stood the day i brought it home:



1979 J20
360, RV cam,Eddy Carb, Mallory Uni-lite
T18 /Dana 20
Rear disk conversion
CS130
BJs rear bumper
36k org miles

As of today this is how the truck sits:



I have done a few mods over the last two years:
-Eddy Shorty headers
-Hydroboost
-New power steering box
-4in lift
-33" AT's
-New bench seat
-New starter
-New Heater Core
-New Power Steering Pump

Future plans:
-Mild Resto: new cab,bed, custom inner fenders,
-New motor: 6.0/4L80E
-42 Gallon fuel tank
-Dual Batts
-OBA

The plans for this rig is to be able to tow my camper and drag my other jeep around when i need to. Also to just be reliable thats the reason for going to a fuel injected motor. This whole project is going to be slow. I just took a new job and im still putting my wife through nursing school im also deep in the build on our wrangler. I will try and keep this thread up to date as much as possible.

Funds have been a little tight recently and I haven't been able to do much to our wrangler. So I have been doing some free/cheap work to the J20 to get it ready for the four wheel jamboree next weekend.

Got a new 7 pin RV plug put in today. Messed around with the rear lights getting them all clean up. Put the cowl back on. Put some speakers in I had Layin around and generally clean up the mess of wiring that comes with a 30+ year old truck.

Hoping to start fabbing a new front bumper this weekend if I have time. Need to fix a few spots on the exhaust as well
