I currently own 4 V-8 Jeep’s in all forms. I also am well known for my purple one on Rubicon, Utah and such. This particular build will never see Rubicon. Maybe Slick Rock definitely Utah. As far as gear ratio setup? This is the 3rd of this type. And has already proven itself all over the place. So little confused? Most times we wheel in 4 high? Just what we do. We also do LS and Hemi swaps into Jeep JK/JKU’s at my shop. Even did one for motor trend? Was featured last year in Four wheeler. Just a Motörhead having fun myself. I have retired twice in life. Just enjoying life and playing around at this point.

Also it should be noted. I wheel my 2017 Rubicon in 2nd or 3rd gear almost exclusively.

Familiar with who you are and your creds. Carry on with the awesome build. Just spent 2 weeks wheeling and overlanding in SE Utah in my 70. Did trails as easy as Hole-in-the-Wall and as difficult as poison spider and hells revenge, it’s all good 😊

I hope the meeting in Sand Hollow, Utah went good tonight. Some developer trying to convince BLM to sell or trade 1/2 of the trails for housing tract. From the east side of water tower. We would loose Miles mile, John’s trail and 8 other trails.

Me too…. If they start down that slippery slope it’s tough to stop it later

So workin on brake selection today. After going back and forth. I have decided to go a little new and a little old. I will be running a PSC Big Bore box. With hydro assist ram… And no steering stabilizer. The hydro assist ram takes over that duty. It also makes steering so easy you can turn 40” tires with a pinky. And the PSC box is already ported for the ram. And these axles are also already setup for the same.

Also decided I would get back to figuring out center console. The Jeep JKU has a pattern for this console. I do not so will be doping it out. Going to use a barn door handle for the rear as a riser. Will play with that tomorrow. I am driving my employees crazy. I am also working on getting the seats figured out.

This is the frustrating bottom part. Will be using JKU shifter, transfer case lever and parking brake lever..
:banghead: :banghead:

I am also digging the newer dash. I did not like the layout of the 1971 dash. Also I found dash pads easier to get for newer dash…lol. And I also wanted different future Dakota Digital dash.

Package tracking. Shows Corbeau seats arriving tomorrow? I doubt it very much. Since they used FedEx even when I asked them not too. FedEx has delivered more damaged items to me this year than undamaged.

Silly me thinking FedEx would come through. Of course they changed tracking on seats to delayed and something about missing truck? Oh our local FedEx is a joke. I will be amazed if the seats do not come in damaged. So guess I will work on front room at shop and on replacement under dash units. As previously FedEx destroyed my first attempt. So I ordered several more to make one complete. And I am repainting them to black vinyl color. I do need to decide which KCLIGHTS I will be running in this truck eventually.

Under dash unit went from Burgundy to Black. Burgundy would not fit my color choices. So black it shall be.

Robbie definately approves. These are going to work perfectly along with perfect seat bases from Corbeau. And arm rest height from JKU Center Console is perfect.

Looking good! I mean, not what I would do, but if I WERE doing mods like that, you're taking the time to do it right!

There are 2 major differences between new Wranglers and FSJs. FSJs are meant to be both utilitarian and capable, not just capable. FSJs are also rarely initially recognized as Jeeps by the average American.

How wide is the gap between the Corbeau seats when mounted? I'm trying to decide what to do in my J-10. I have a Chevy jumpseat/console I'd like to use possibly with Corbeaus. Thanks.

When I looked into doing it with my J10, all the center consoles from the Big 3 were too wide, as their cabs are much wider than an FSJs. As it turns out, a JK is almost the exact same width. So the center console fits great.
