TH400 to Dana20 adapter parts

Hey folks! I've recently acquired a '78 Cherokee equipped with a QT case. Since I'm having the trans rebuilt, I've decided to had a 2wd shaft installed because I have a dana 20 with a 32 spline spud shaft & th400 adapter on my shop floor. I cannot find a parts list for the consumables in the adapter.

Would any of you have the parts list and/or part numbers for "rebuilding" the adapter?

I've found remanufactured stock replacements, ready to go from Novak, etc, but none of the techs can tell me what bearing, seal, snap ring (or whatever else is in there) is in their kit.

I'd thought of just dropping the coin on the adapter, but the one I have is on good shape, and I should be able to save a couple hundred bucks by just rebuilding what I got and still end up with quality and no corners cut.

Whatever help y'all can give me is MUCH appreciated!

Been a while since your post -

There is a '65-73 J-series parts book on the Tom Collins site. https://oljeep.com/ If you look at the Dana 20 tailshaft/adapter parts for a '73, it should show what you need. Cross the Jeep PNs to aftermarket; RockAuto is pretty good about crossing Jeep PNs, otherwise Google the PN plus "Jeep."

Usual complaint about the factory D20 adapter is it breaks. I presume this means that the pedestal for the mount breaks. The aftermarket ones, like Novak's for example, are stronger.

No help on the parts, but for anyone else reading I do have a complete d20/t400/350 Buick in a running driving truck in the classifieds. Shameless plug, I should probably apologize….. sure would help with the LS swap motivation if the truck didn’t run and drive :P

BJ's has the bearing and the seals needed to rebuild your adapter.

Bearing and snap ring:

I thought BJ's used to have the seals (there are two) but now I can't find them. I believe they are SKF part#: 13571. Rock Auto should have them.
