I also needed a hard line from the drier that would pass through the valance where the original ac line went. I asked Ed to bend it at a 90 to my specs and I would make the other bends that would be needed to get it through the valance. here is what he sent.

This is the line to the left of the drier after I did the other bends.

Also, I would like to say, I have never done an ac install from scratch. So don't be surprised if things go backwards, or I make a few mistakes along the way. I always post all, the good and the bad.
The hard line off the bottom of the condenser will dictate where the drier will be mounted. I'am keeping Ed posted on the hard lines I use, and he should be able to replicate them for anyone that is looking to do the same on their rig.

I have a set of fabricated valve covers that are a lot bigger than the factory covers and they are causing alignment problems. The compressor won't go back far enough to line up with the alternator pulley. I'am thinking about modifying the bracket and running the compressor off the power steering belt. If I can get it to line up with that pulley, does anyone see a problem with this? What say you?

A good welding shop can fix that, also would rotate compressor 90 degrees to vertical

Okay, so I think I have the compressor and belts figured out. What I did was added a dual pulley to my alternator which moved the drive belt out, so now the back of the compressor clears the valve cover. I know some people would have a problem with how I ran the belt, but I think it is going to work. To get the belt to align, it is on the outer grove of the alternator and the inner grove of the ac compressor.

The power steering runs on the outer grove and the ac and alternator run on the middle grove and nothing on the rear grove.

Here is the bracket I used. I had to cut the back of it off and add some slots to make it work because of the after market valve covers. If you have stock valve covers you might be able to use it as it is sold, but I'am not sure.

I could run the ac hoses clocked to the left if I want to, I have enough room. We will make that decision once we start laying out the hoses.

Ran the high side line from the compressor to the condenser. My neighbor has the tool to make the ac lines and came over and helped me make it. Very cool tool and glad I did not have to buy it.
