I might not be able to make it this year. My company is sending me to China 11/11-11/22 and my return date could be extended. If I have time, maybe I'll pack the jeep before I leave, so it's ready if I get back on the 22nd. So if the wife and I can make it, it will be last minute.

Flying into Shanghai then a 2 hour drive to Suzhou. I've been to Taiwan twice, but never China. Hopefully there will be some time to explore and I won't been cooped up inside.

That should be fun. But it's business travel and that usually means not a lot of free time. I have been to Tianjin. Also Kaohsiung. And just last week Hong Kong. Hopefully the air quality in Suzhou isn't too bad. In Tianjin to pay at the restaurants the normal 'Visa/Mastercard' didn't work. There is a local card everyone uses. Since you haven't been to Suzhou ask some of the locals for advice on going out and what is accepted as payment.

Have fun!

I grabbed 2 dozen red Chile beef tamales from my tamale lady last Friday so you can put that down for Flint and Krista.

Soo we are going to do everything in cast iron (dutch ovens) - green bean casserole, turkey with gravy & an cast iron pan full of stuffing. Also, on Friday we will be doing a cast iron Chocolate & pineapple upside down cake.
Wish my wife luck as she will be experimenting with yeast bread & cast iron also.

That should be fun! I think Bob (Rstep) usually did the stuffing and he can't make it this year so looking forward to it! And good luck to your wife! haha

Oh man it is with a somber note that the Mayo clan will not make it this year. First time in I can't even remember how long. As Ryan and Cayden grow into the 9th and 11th year, our activities are multiplying. This year on TITD day, Ryan has an all-day Robotics Club competition that starts at 7 am and goes into the evening. We wouldn't get out there until way past 7 pm and most likely later. You all have a great time, we will miss seeing all our FSJ family friends. Happy TITD and Thanks Giving to you all.

Robotics club! Tell him I am jealous. That sounds like a lot of fun. I am rooting for him and hope he finishes in the top spot but even if he doesn't we are proud of him for giving it his best shot. Maybe we will see you guys next year.

thanks. Yeah he had to compete to get into the club. Essay, four teacher references, interview, and they only take 8 from each grade level, and he had 6 classes he was competing against. He is really thriving with his team. 2 4th graders and 2 5th graders. It is really cool to watch. Regardless, we are already 'missing' TITD and it hasn't happened yet. Hope you guys post up pics when it gets here.
