Well, there's no way in heck Money Badger will be ready, but my dad is planning to bring Yepa again so at least there will be FSJ glory in my site! Wife and daughter are headed to Kentucky that week for a wedding of two people I don't know and didn't expect to follow through, so it'll be a father-son trip again, like 2012.

It's a luxury but not far removed from a requirement now days. We had no AC in the tank (M1A1) back in the Persian gulf. Kuwait was hotter than Satan's ball sack but we just kept drinking water and suffering through. Now that I'm almost 30 years older I have no idea how I did it and doubt I still could. Driving in the war wagon, a flat black Suburban with non-functional AC, I complain. Guess I'm getting soft in my old age.
I have been to Ouray a bunch of times thinking my Jeep is not ready. No wipers, no defroster, fog lights don't work, no AC, no windshield squirters (damn Texans), no turn signals, windows won't go down, windows won't go up, ash tray is dirty. I still went. The older I get, the less I care if BEEP does not work if it is not critical. If I can drive it, I drive it. I am not being grumpy about this, just stating facts.

Yeah, my interior is still gutted, wiring harness is only half installed, and I still need to get registration current. Between school, honey-dos, and limited GI bill income, being there is more important than being there in Money Badger this year. Yepa turns more heads anyways!
I've got 3 weeks in August between summer and fall semesters where the only thing I've got going on is getting in the path of totality for the eclipse, so progress should be made on MB then.
Not that anyone cares or can even relate, but Ouray is finals week for the summer semester too. Like an idiot, I took 12 credits for the summer (full schedule is 9), so I'm busting my nuts trying to get far enough ahead that I can still go.

Us too! we're planning to take Owl Creek Pass over on the way from Cimarron to Ridgway for something different. Something we talked about in the days when we were still driving the Explorer and not towing a trailer. This will be a prime year to finally take the opportunity with the Jeep! It will put us at camp a little later than if we took the highway but I'd like to see the scenery.

Oh so close! I am so looking forward to my week in Ouray. I am arriving Saturday so by the time the 'offical' invasion begins I will be in my Ouray Groove. I have even decided I am just going to sit back and enjoy the drive up and think about how great it is going to be.
All right! Today was the last day of work. I am taking tomorrow off to prepare. I picked up the trailer today and will borrow the tow rig tomorrow. I have a few lists made and am excited about getting going. It's going to be hot tomorrow and I have stuff to do outside. But Saturday in Ouray will be nice and cool...
