'84 GW with Nissan SD33T, early Chev NV4500, 300, narrowed Ford reverse 44, narrowed Ford 60, SOA/reversed shackle in fornt, lowered mount/flipped shackle in rear.
I usually have the stock intake on it. Just looks ugly as heck. And hard to measure with it on. I only put to bolts on just to suck it down. Will be getting my Fi-Tech intake system in next week or so.

Wheel gap is a little bit better. Cab is fully down on chassis. Time to fab a few 1.5 tall mount tabs. Tack them to the frame. After I am sure fully squared up on frame.

So under the weather with delays. In 1981 my bother blew e teeth out of my mouth… so have had a bridge since then. Well my goofy butt snapped off both teeth of the bridge. So today was repair after a few months of discomfort. So implants installed and new teeth.
And this arrived on Monday……………………
Time to get the EFI installed.
And my buddy KEITH from : ANDERSONS AUTO BODY has a plan for front end... hopefully.....lol

So after almost a year delay. I am back to working on this project. Just way too much stuff going on in life and at shop. Bringing it back into my bay.

I know the wheelbase will have to change since the JKU is 116, and the J2000 is a tick over 119, but should just be able to push the rear axle back for that. Is it an issue with where the cab lines up in regards to the front axle? FSJ's do have a somewhat short firewall to axle distance. Some of the chassis swaps I have seen cut the front lip of the front fender off because the front axle is farther forward on the new chassis, which I am not a fan of.
Well went on down the rabbit hole. Cut the Jeep JKU frame into two parts. Inserted my custom ordered piece of steel. 18” total length each side. With only 3 inch stretch needed.

Well finally found some time to work on this. I wanted to stay original to the Cab and bed. So after stretching frame 3 1/4 inches. I will need to add a 10” extension to rear. This is not needed. Just a back-up bed mount. This truck will never see a trailer or ever tow anything. I also refused to cut or modify anything on the exterior panels. But did find the cab was wasted. The integral inner supports are beyond repair. So I reached out to J& W Jeeps in Antelope, California. They agreed to tear down 5 trucks until a suitable and rust free perforated cab was found. Those guys rock. I have been doing business with them for over 25 years. The following is my new/old cab. Which gets dustless blasted tomorrow. Then will be powder coat primer coated.

I am using the old cab to setup my mounts. I have installed both cabs on the frame so many times. I have lost count. But finally have all 6 mounts onto the JKU cab and radiator core support. Will hopefully get the frame finished this week and into final welding and grinding finished. Here the front end and cab sit on frame mounts with 1 inch thick neoprene pucks. When torqued down will not have any flex hopefully. Ride will be smooth with the Rock Krawler hybrid 3.5Inch dual rate springs and nitrogen dual piston RRD shocks. Will post up kit boxes shortly. Also have finalized engine and drivetrain placement. Wheels sit perfectly in center.
