Shop called today. Have a few kinks to work out. Air cleaner is sitting too high. So, gonna remove the carb spacer and try again. If all else fails, I'll put stock assembly back on. Rockers are lightly rubbing the upper sides of the Bulltear Legend covers. Told the guys to grind inside to make sure the rockers have adequate room. They said otherwise, everything went beautifully and the motor runs like a top. Throttle response is very snappy. After they adjust the issues, it'll be taken for a shakedown run to make sure transmission is shifting perfectly up and down, then it will be time for the Tri-Ys and new exhaust system.

Shakedown run today by myself. Shop let me pick it up and give it a test and look over. Oil pressure up a bit over before, and it is running VR1 stuff in 10w flavor. I normally run 5w30 and get higher readings than the 10W stuff, so I expect it to be a bit better still after switching over in about 1000K miles.

Still needs the shift points moved a bit higher, and has an occasional slight 'miss' or stumble at really light throttle (no egr hooked up yet).

Ran a bit hotter than normal, but still in the middle of the green of the gauge. Put about 40 miles total on it. Still gotta do the auxiliary ground mod as the gauges would go dead after 15-20 minutes of driving.

Otherwise, all seemed well. Dropped back off at the shop to tweak a bit more.

Newer / rebuilt engines are a bit tighter, so they tend to run a bit higher temp wise

And now, the expense:
Shop cost for labor/misc parts I didn't get $2650

Total cost for motor and transmission build (minus headers and custom exhaust-which is just a splurge) $6824.50

If going back with stock stuff (pistons, reusing intake, and 2bbl, It would be about $1000-1500 less

Any news on how this is running a few months later?

Running good except carb issues which I am dealing with at the moment.
