Haven't actually driven on them yet but I bought a set of the Cooper Discoverer AT3s based on their review.

Have Cooper AT3S on both of the f160 patrol trucks they are great . One lives in mud and gravel the other on and off road all night. No complaints, very little gravel held in treads.

I am running the new BFG KO2's and love them. So far they are the best off road tire I have run, I have run the Falcon Wildpeaks and was less than impressed with them, Not that they were not a good bang for the buck tire, but the KO2's have proven to be superior in every aspect.

The Falcons strong point is in the rocks. Anything besides that and they are only average. But for pure rock crawling, they do surprisingly well.

We owned a set of the AT3s on my Wife's Liberty. They were awesome. Great on the street, really good in the snow, and did fine on the dirt. It never saw rocks or the like as it was a Liberty, but we were very happy with them.

Stuka, you are correct, I never took them into the rocks, but everywhere else they were average, not bad by any means, just eh. And they seemed to wear fairly quickly too.

Those AT3's do look good.

Yeah wearing fast is typical fore tires with softer compounds. Softer compound means better traction, but less tread life.

Anyone running Yokohama Geolandar ATS tires? Looking to put them on the new Patriot, wonder how people like them.

The f150 I bought last year had 2 new Geos on the front and a worn pair on the back. Both sets were surprisingly quite and the ride was nice. Traction was great in all surfaces. They are some of the heaviest tires on the market. Would have kept them but the wheel offset was wrong for the truck.

I've been running 35x12.50x15 Cooper Discoverer STT's on my Xj for the past 2 sets of tires now and absolutely LOVE them. I've tried all the name brands over the years and nothing has even come close to lasting as long with great street manners and off road durability. Great in every situation I've put them in. They will definitely be what's going on my 88 Grand Waggy when I get it on the road. I'll actually be trying there new STT Pro though for the Waggy.

The Pro is a good tire, they will be my next tires.

But, they are a softer compound, so they will not last as long. But they do have more traction. They also hum a bit more than the normal version.

I run Cooper AT3's on my rusty old Waggy. I haven't done any aggressive off roading, but some moderate off roading they've done great. I drive in a lot of snow and I've been super impressed with them for snow.

For the new project wide track waggy I'm thinking of the ST Maxx or AT3's, but the BFG KO2's look nice as well.

BTW, I had 32x11.50 BFG KM2's on my CJ7, I expected them to howl like crazy but they were darn nice and that is on a soft top!

It's no show truck but it does look nice from 10' away from some angles if you ignore the rear flares and a couple spots on the front valence. Now having these tires on for a year I still like them. They aren't wearing poorly but I also don't drive a ton (probably less than 4K miles). Except for the upcoming trip to Colorado of course.

I have been running Mastercraft Courser MTX. So far, I love them. Inexpensive, great traction. nice street manners, and wear great. put 2 on the back 3 years ago as a test. I had to get another a few weeks ago, so I replaced the front 2. There is no noticable wear from 3 years and this is my daily driver. I got them locally for $175 each for 35x12.5x15s.

I've always been a BFG KO runner and recently put a set on a 79 Cherokee that are the KO2's. The new design definitely doesn't hold gravel like the last ones, but they are still worse than most AT's.
I run the Nitto TerraGrappler AT on my GMC 2500 and don't really like them. When I go for a new set they will be the KO2's again. I've also ran the BFG's on XJ's, CJ's, YJ's and KJ's. They were a little heavy for them though and I did notice a power loss going from a very light passenger tire to the 10 ply BFG's.

I ran BFG AT's and they worked fine. I tried Goodyear MTR's and they seem to do very well too.

Expensive, but so far my Goodyear Duratracs are really nice. Acceptable road noise and good traction. And they are rated as snow tire too.
