ZM vs BJ Floor Panels

Post by pyro »

Was going to order some new front floor panels here soon from BJ's, however i see where ZM has them for $20 cheaper. Anyone have any opinion either way as far as quality, etc? Here's the areas I need to replace:

I believe I need rocker panels too judging by the rust on the outside of the side body panel. There is a bit of rust on that side panel but i can't find them listed anywhere...i'll probably have a replacement panel made by my welding guy.

Also, I don't see any panels that can be used to replace this area: (up next to the seat)

is that going to be another custom-fab job too?

thanks in advance

I've ordered both BJ's and Z&M's sheet metal.
BJ's took a LONG time to get to me but arrived undamaged and ready to go.
Z&M Got here quick and was also ready to go. But his panels are galvanized. So built in rust prevention. Just grind off where youre gonna weld and go.

So Z&M is faster, cheaper, and galvanized.

Sounds like a winner.

the ones I got from Z&M if I recall seemed heavier. I just moved some of my old sheet metal today and had on those full floor pans he makes. It was pretty darn heavy and showed no signs of rust when all my other steel had the bubbles from moisture/humidity.

just an update...i found some on rockauto.com that are made by "classic 2 current" and are $32.79/ side. Part numbers 0104401 & 0104402 ground shipping to me is around 10 bucks. Anyone heard of these?

We got quarter panels for my sons 84 Wagoneer from them. They were decent quality and the price was right.

I'd still go with Z&M Jeeps...no question about the quality.

alright im getting closer to ordering...decided im gonna go with z&m. found these two part numbers. they are apparently both complete sides and they are way cheaper than ordering separately. my question is this; judging by the rusted areas on my floorboards (up near the front upward bend under the dash), will these cover everything or will i need something else?
