This truck runs like a top, and has been a great truck since I bought it used in 2006 with 70K miles. I hate to see it go, but it's time for a bigger truck. The truck has not been hot roded. I've used the “chip”, gauges, exhaust, and air box for fuel economy and engine health monitoring; I consistently get around 20mpg unloaded.

The truck has been well maintained: oil changes every 5K miles, fuel filter approximately every 5K, valves adjusted by Cummins Atlantic in Kenly at 100K miles. The front end was completely gone through a few years back: ball joints, unit bearings, tie rod ends, 3rd generation Dodge Ram heavy duty track bar, Red Head Steering Gear, steering box brace. It has been upgraded to 3rd generation front disk brakes and 3rd generation Dodge Ram 17” wheels.

I've towed around 8K pounds on average 6 times a year since 2006; not a hard life for this truck. Those towing miles were mostly highway, and beyond that the truck has served light duty use hardly necessitating a diesel. You just can't beat diesel efficiency and torque.

This isn't a new truck, there are a few blemishes and unfortunately it has recently developed the cracked dash common to this body style. There are a few small dents, dings and a small amount of rust near the bottom of the doors. The driver side mirror heater component needs repair, but cosmetically it's fine.

Other than the above mentioned issues, the truck is in great shape. I'll entertain offers, and I can answer any questions or provide more pictures via PM, email, text or phone, just ask. This truck is still in use, and I may decide to correct some of the issues listed above, but as I do that the price will become more firm. Thanks for looking, and good luck with your shopping!
