rear dana 60 swap

first off i got tired of that clunk i heard coming from my rear end(bearings), so i found a Dana 60 out of a dodge motor home for free to swap in.. drum to drum were the same, spring perches were 2" off so i started by cutting them off and welding them on the right width and the same angle.
next to tackle were my leafs, i was tired of when i put 1000# in my bed i was almost bottomed out.. so my buddy had some 2nd gen dodge cummmins 1 ton leafs so i added 3 of the 4 leafs in my pack in addition to all of my originals. it took me a day just to get my 44 out, couldn't get the bolts out of the front hangers so i ended torching them out..

long story short i needed u bolts and a friend had some long ones laying around so i put 4'' blocks on top of my leafs to take up the extra u bolt. it was a Saturday night..... i thought my 1310 u joint was the same that axle took so i put it all in and bolted it all up minus shocks, i haven't cut and welded the brackets yet.. took it for a test drive, ended up that the axle took a 7290 u joint so it threw the drive shaft.. so i was debating on getting a conversion u joint or a new yoke so i just got a new yoke and put a new spicer u joint in and wow now it drives nice lol..

What year motor home did you pull the rear dana 60 out of? I'd love to do this to my '89 wagoneer

out of a 76 dodge, i forgot the model it had a 440 in it if that helps at all lol

If your front gear ratio matches, you can change just the knuckles and brakes.

I found a place in hermiston oregon that has axles and it doesn't matter gearing or size there $200 each axle so I'm going to pick an 8 lug front up, hoping to get a d60 but a 44 will do
