The 98+ can run standard D44 low-number ratio carrier, because they use the thick gears. But the gear set has a D60 size pinion with "normal" size D44 thick ring gear. That's what I pulled from this thread.

How does one determine what ratio (you mentioned 4:10 or 4:30) and if the axle has a LSD?
I think there is a Isuzu Rodeo in my local salvage yard, but I need to check it out to see what year and the axle is stuffed with.
Where did you get the spring perches and shocked that you installed on the replacement axle?
Have you hooked the emergency brake yet?
Could the metric lugs be replaced with SAE studs to match the front axle?
- I had the salvage yard verify the gear ratio and did a VIN check on the donor vehicle. Also checked the ratio by spinning the yoke and counting the rotations.
- The spring perches and shock tabs were bought from various sellers on EBay. Just had to get perches for a 3" axle tube. I also had to get lift blocks (also Ebay) so the calipers would clear the springs. New U-Bolts were purchased from a truck spring shop.
- No E-Brake cables yet. Think I have a line on a place that will build custom cables. I will post when I figure that out.
- Not sure about the stud replacement. I went with wheel spacers which provided slightly longer studs. I bought spacers for the Isuzu but now that I think about it, could have purchased spacers for a GM truck and probably got US threads.

Doubt it. The Waggy spring width is much narrower. If you look at where the spring is in relation to the backing plate on your drums, you have several inches of clearance. On J-Trucks there is barely any clearance at all.

A waggy rear WMS is 57.5, so its pretty close. I don't recall the perch width off hand. I know there are post on IFSJA with people putting them into waggys, just not sure if they were drum or disc versions.
