Sorry for such a delay in getting this post going. Haven’t forgotten about those of you that keep the old school spirit alive and don’t use facebook.

2025 DATES

When:
The “official” dates for 2025 are July 16-18 2025 with the potluck, raffle and group photo being on Thursday. Although the “official” dates for the invasion are only 3 days many of us will be there all week.

Where:
Ouray KOA campground in Ridgway, Colorado.

IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING CAMPING AT THE KOA

As many of you know the KOA has been averaging one management regime change per year for the last six or 7 years. Every year we have made it a priority to establish a great working relationship between our group and management to ensure that this event continues for as long as possible. Unfortunately, despite my best attempts and those of the other organizers, we have been unable to establish a solid connection with the current regime.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR 2025

We still intend and are planning to hold the event as normal however, without cooperation from the KOA we are unable to set aside a block of sites for our group. If you wish to stay at the KOA and camp near the others please make sure you make your reservations early.

Also, as I was making my reservation it was brought to my attention that if you wish to reserve a particular site the KOA will be charging $75 to lock it in. If you do not pay the lock fee, you will be randomly assigned a site picked by the computer algorithm.

Part of the reason I waited so long to post details for 2025 was to see if I could get this all resolved. I am still working on this and I am hopeful that we can finally reach the right person in corporate obscurity. One of the things I absolutely cherish about this event is the communal nature of like-minded folks all camping together I’m going to try like hell to preserve that tradition

Speaking of 2025 we need a theme! Usually, the theme is picked as a tongue in cheek reference to some kind of jeep related calamity from the previous year. Surprisingly this past year the biggest breakdown was a blown water pump. Absolutely amazing luck, but it doesn’t make for easy themes.

Nada. I'm going to invite them to the potluck this year and get them a good framed picture of a few of the group photos from over the years. Hopefully that will resonate with somebody.

FSJ Ouray Invasion will be here soon and we can't wait! This year Johnson Production is happy to sponsor the t-shirt design and hope yall are as excited about it as we are! The theme this year is Christmas in July - How the Grinch Stole My Coolant! July will be here before we know it and we hope to see you all in Ouray!

Many folks show up without their FSJ. I did last year but hopefully will have mine this year.
