1988 J20 For Sale

Post by knewman10783 »

Full Size Jeep J20 For Sale
Had this about 10+ years and bought it as a tinkering/build truck, but sadly the time has come for me to part ways with it. Great Truck, needs a little love as do all vehicles this age and due to circumstances beyond my control I don’t have the money nor the time to spend on it. So my loss is your gain.

It currently does not run as the battery is dead, but the truck does run and runs well.

- Original 360 v8 engine
- Original 2100 Carborator
- Original Transmission

What has been done to it since I have owned it:
- Rebuilt the carborator
- Replaced timing chain
- Replaced timing chain cover
- Replaced oil pump
- Replaced Alternator
- Replaced Power Steering pump
- Replaced Radiator, added Fan Shroud
- Replaced Fuel Sending Unit

Not looking for a trade. Serious offers only.

Any pics? Sounds like a solid project truck, and nice to keep it on the road.

WOW.......only $6k? Are you sure?
Unless there is a ton of trouble underneath it, the top looks really really REALLY good. Bed is intact seeming to not have any rust through, interior in super great shape for its age, body lines look really good with no obvious rust through, all glass looks good, sliding rear window, paint looks complete under the dirt which just needs a good scrubbing........
If this truck is not already bought, I would be surprised. Put a little work to clean it up better, good battery to have it running and ready to drive home........wish I had the money right now :/

That is my Truck! I have the same one except its an '87. My understanding is the '88s were leftovers from '87.

That is my understanding as well from my research. But all of the sale documents when I bought it called it an 88 which is hilarious to me.

So makes it even a little more unicornish? That chunk of coal is looking more and more like a diamond all the time :)
