Yes. I bought a one gallon kit a while back for the 2a. I did the floor of the 2a a week ago. It didn’t take very much at all so the leftover went into the truck bed.

I think my next adventure with this truck is going to be more of a restoration. It needs paint and I kinda want to take it back to the original Seafoam Green. I'm thinking about stock steel wheels, white, that will take my pristine set of Kaiser moon hub caps. I'm looking at the BJ's Offroad wheels. I wish they came in a 10" wide though.

I want to get rid of the body lift. It still has the original springs so I'm thinking a 4" kit from BJ's. EZwire harness upgrade, which I have and just need to install. The motor runs great, has good power, and doesn't smoke or burn oil at all so I'm inclined to leave it and just freshen up. I have an "RV" cam for the 327 that Oregon Cam ground for me years ago, which I should put in.

I'm currently working on building a 2.46 Dana 20 for it. I'm contemplating a full float for the rear 44 or upgrading to a 60-2 if I can find one.

Regarding the suspension - how do I determine rubber vs bronze bushings and where do I measure to determine if I have 7/8 or 1" post mount?

Glad to see your still at it.

Wheels in 15x10 that your Kaiser hub caps will fit are available from Summit.

Hey there - how's your 2A?

You want 15" wheels? The backspacing on those Summit wheels seems excessive to me. If you are still 5-lug, the factory steel wheels from a late CJ should accept your caps, and are 6" wide.

The 2a is done, but still fine tuning things. I pulled it out of a field in 2019 and blew it completely apart. Swapped in a Buick V6 and added a Warn overdrive, power steering, Rancho springs, and upgraded brakes.

I too am concerned about the backspacing on those Summit wheels. I think the 15x10 steel wheels I currently run are 3.75" backspacing. There's a set of five KH Renegade I wheels near me for an ok price. Those would look good on the Jtruck, but no provisions for caps.

I just realized the last photo of the truck is from 2019! Here it is currently, the only real change is the mirrors.

2A is looking good! A lot of labor goes into a project like that.

Those K-H 8" steel wheels are very much sought after. However, they will not fit over the 11x2 Bendix brakes, much less disk calipers, IIRC. Ask on ECJ5.

I wonder if anyone has made an adapter to hold OEM caps on steel aftermarket wheels? Seems like it should be feasible. I tried a search and it's such a popular term, my browser auto-completed it. Lots of links come up: https://www.bing.com/search?q=hubcap+adapter+ring

Thanks, the 2a has been a fun project - it's been running/driving for about a year now.

I have a set of Ford (I believe) steel wheels in 15x8 on my Renegade I CJ5 and those definitely will not clear discs, but they do clear the 11" brakes that I have on the Ren I. I also have a set of 15x8 KH wheels that I can test today for disc clearance.

The KH 15x8 rims will not clear discs or 11" drums so that idea is out...
