OK, I have found all the headliner trim that I need. Now Ive got to locate an affordable headliner. Ill be rebuilding the rear tailgate with a manual glass lift. I believe I have all or most of what I need.
I've run into some delays but its still being worked on. I've decided that the next video will be on re-working the rear tailgate glass. During my time in-between videos, I rebuilt the drivers door and glass and added custom Washer Fluid and Coolant overflow tanks-aluminum and powder coated for $30 each. https://youtu.be/vXPsrK5gx7M?si=gmtbePF1E_YE1FYT
Maybe too late but while you have side window glass out you can carefully trace it and make patterns. Glass can be cut, drilled, edges polished, then tempered.
No more searching for the rest of the guys who need it.
I made a pattern once for a guy with my tailgate glass when I had it out. I hope he had the shop get it tempered and didn't get cheap.

The next Cherokee video. I had hoped that Id finish the tailgate but that wasn't the case. I ended up chasing rabbits down holes and found a lot of work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjAczyz5w30
Question: I recently installed my Cherokee plate surround and dont see any holes or routing for the tag light wiring. I suppose it routed inside the tailgate and then leaves to connect to the light?? A good explanation or pictures would be great. Thanks
PS I hunted around for that surround for weeks and found it in plain-sight! GRRR
I believe I found the routing. The wiring goes in from the driver's bottom of the tailgate then comes back out under the surround left of the light. If I'm wrong, tell me.
My next short project isn't the Cherokee. It's getting a 4L Cat diesel to run so that I can sell it. It was installed in a Sportside project Jeep for a while but then removed. I have a 700R4 and Chevy NP208 that bolts to it. I'll sell the motor with the drivetrain as a project or sell as parts. Let me know if your interested.
I'll post the video link soon.
