Painting the brush guard somrthing other than black ? Yea or nay ?

Post by candymancan »

So the brush guards factory.. are black.. everyone repaints em black. On my 90 i painted it black.. but my 90 is a black color lol.

So my J10 is blue on top white bottom. I jist finished my roll/light bar.. and painted it the blue i plan to repaint my truck with. It looks good i think.. So i was wondering. Have you guys painted your brush guards to match the color scheme of the Jeep or just leave it black ?

Well here it is painted. I sware rustolium is having some severe inconsistancies with their Metalic Cobalt blue paint.

I painted my tailgate with it.. and its lighter than the stuff i used on my floorboards.. Then i painted my roll bar and its the same as the floors and darker than the tailgate.

Then i painted the brush guard and 90% of it was done and i ran out. So i grabbed a 3rd can and that can painted the other 10% lighter colored. Thankfully most of that is the left arm that goes under the Jeep.

But boy... huge inconsistancies... which aucks because i plan to repaint my J10s blue with this cobalt blue because its near identical to the factory..
