Best fluid for 69 J truck turbo 400

I have an old turbo 400 in a J3600 truck .Changing fluid and filter ,has been sitting for years.Checking if I should just use Dexron.

yep , i think dex4 is the only thing out there, but its compat. with dex2/3

Get the stuff that says DEX/MERC from valvoline, or this walmart brand which is DEX3/MERC compatible.. same stuff, you dont want DEX4 or newer. DEX 4-6 is just a waste of money at 2x the cost

Use this stuff for the th400,727 and transfercases that arent quadra trac for the fsj, like the 228/229/242/231/249 etc
