Yep still got the truck. Oddly I have seen 3 j10's on the road nicer than mine in the past month. That's more than I think I've seen in the rest of the 8 years ice owned it. Figured there would be more action on here from our florida peeps.
Cj8 is dismantled...cant find a t176 tranny for it to save my life. I've been trying to get motivated to tear apart the 258 and get the rebuild on it going. Also need to find someone to weld in some new floor pans. Since the weather has cooled off I've been driving the j10 regularly.
working on My 79 J-10 Honcho, cam gear got eaten so I'm replacing the front of motor, cam gear, timing chain n gears cover oil pump n housing. dropped pan as well put t back together today to only find out the PROFORM cover I purchased want allow the dizzy to go in (too tight) even tried another dizzy and the same thing. sticks on the first collar. Can I sand down the collar for it to fit ?? Don't want to take it apart
Are you sure that its not hanging up on the union between the Dizzy and oil pump drive? Did you put a Mic and measure the differences in size? How much do you need to remove?
I will be moved to Sarasota by the end of December. There will be some work to do on my GW after I arrive and hope to be available for FSJ activities early in the new year. Thanks
I spent some time at Pyro's house fitting the new One Ton steering on his NT Cherokee. It's all installed on an OEM system with no binding and is much bigger and stronger than the original Moog parts.
