I’m with Yeller on that let’s see some pics of the seats and how they look in there! I’m also interested in what you will have to do for your brackets.

There are 2 major differences between new Wranglers and FSJs. FSJs are meant to be both utilitarian and capable, not just capable. FSJs are also rarely initially recognized as Jeeps by the average American.

Good job, yes the headliner is a cardboard sandwich with foam.

OK, the latest update on the seats. First, even after chopping the the seat brackets by 2", I still couldnt get into a comfortable position. Either I was pushed to the front and against the steering wheel or I was too close to the rear and couldnt tilt the seat. Second, its the head rest that hits the rear window first. Preventing me from reclining enough to be comfortable. So, I took the PLUNG and decided to cut and tilt the head rest forward to make more Recline available. The seat fabric comes off easily and I was able to access the frame tubing. I cut and tilted the headrest 35 degrees and re-assembled everything. This small change now allows the seat to recline 2 more positions before hitting the rear glass!

Nice when you can get it to work like you want.
The bus I ride is so short it is a yellow Smart Car full of squirrels, monkeys and clowns.

I hate to say it but Ive tried Wagoneer seats [even the Wagoneer seats with arm rests-like captain's chairs] and now these Master Craft and none of them fit in a FSJ truck well. The best seats Ive found are the OEM buckets for the FSJs.

I was looking at some universal fit seats from speedway motors. Haven't pulled the trigger on them yet as there are bigger fish to fry before buying seats.
Chop your own wood and it'll warm you twice

From my experience, the truck cab is very small. When trying to use other seats its a compromise between having the seat low enough to clear the steering wheel and how much tilt you can get before hitting the rear glass.

The J-Truck cab is tough to fit high back buckets in. I tried JK seats and ran them for a few years. But they were just too thick on the bottom and so I had to squeeze under the steering wheel to get in. I ultimately went back to a bench.
